Skin tags are small brown or flesh coloured growths that protrude from the surface of the skin, usually by a few millimetres.

Skin tags can appear anywhere on the body but are typically found in areas where skin repeatedly rubs against itself, such as armpits, groin, eyelids and neck.

Some skin tags grow over time and can, very occasionally become as large as 5 centimetres. Although they may be unsightly, skin tags are always harmless.

Treatment is quick and easy using the Cynosure Elite Laser. Skin tags are removed by lasering around the tag at the base, the heat from the laser carbon­ises the blood that is feeding the vessels, thus cutting of the blood supply.

Within one to two weeks the skin tag will become smaller hard and fall off normally with out you noticing it. The skin will look pink for a week then return back to normal skin colour.
